LUSH COSMETICS LIP SCRUB REVIEW AND INFO!

                LUSH COSMETICS LIP SCRUB

Lush Cosmetics has gone viral this year. If you haven't heard of it you've probably been living under a rock. They hand make all of their products and they are all vegan and natural. Some of their products need to be refrigerated and some don't but every product is worth trying!

I was introduced to this company by my sis in law. She has bought a ton of product and I have snuck at least a few tries of every product she's bought. The one I've used daily is their The Kiss Lip Scrub. This was a limited edition scrub for Valentine's Day with little heart candy inside the Pink lip scrub. All of these scrubs are edible and the website invites you to lick off the excess
After your done scrubbing those sexy kissers!

The Lush lip scrubs are all pretty tasty. Honestly The Kiss scrub was kinda gross. I expected it to be sweet and it was salty with no other flavor but all the other ones have been as advertised. I will list the flavors and pieces further down but let's talk about the packaging right now. Its in a small carmex chapstick shaped container. It's a little larger than the largest carmex you can buy. Carmex was more famous in the nineties, everyone had it, so maybe you don't know what I'm talking about but you can kinda tell from the pics I've posted here.

I usually don't buy into lip scrubs and lip sugar and just make my own because it works much better usually when I do but this stuff is pretty amazing. One way I use it that is just kind of my own thing but that it works great for is removing lipstick that is hard to remove. Kat von d liquid lipstick can't be dubbed or wiped off after its dried and you have to kind of let it wear off on its own but this stuff takes it off even just after its dried and it's at its must dry and pigmented. That's pretty amazing. It literally leaves no color behind when used as a lipstick remover.

It's amazing for removing dead skin and making your lips super soft and look amazingly smooth which makes it
The perfect lip prep for any lipstick but especially matte lipsticks because they usually stick to any and all dry skin, fine lines and dry and deeply lined lips. This fixes all those problems and leaves you with the perfect smooth looking matte lips that we all aspire to.

It's also amazing by itself just for your lip health. It keeps the dead skin off and leaves your lips looking healthy and vibrant. With lips like these after just one use and especially after ongoing use people will wonder what you're wearing to make your lips look so amazing!

You grab a small dab with one finger and rub it on your lips like your brushing your teeth with your finger. Then you can do small circles if you want. Do that until it disintegrates into an oily type mixture with hardly any to no salt left. Then either wipe off or lick off the excess. It only takes a few seconds a day and it's so worth it.

One draw back of some of Lushs products is that some of them can be a little pricy. On the other side of that coin a lot of their products are priced very well. Not what I would call cheap but when you want a high quality product that's all natural you kinda have to be willing to shell out more than a couple dollars. These lip scrubs cost $10.95 USD for every flavor and at 0.8 ounces it's totally worth it and it will last you a while. They also offer an every 3 month auto shop if you're absolutely in love with this product. There's no discount for doing that but it's convenient for some.

I would definitely recommend this product to a friend and give it 4/5 stars. The only con is the glitter the kiss left behind all over my mouth area and not just on my lips and the taste of some of these. The taste is all preference though so you may love something I've disliked. Otherwise there's no other cons I can think of.

Now let's get into the available flavors/ scenes and mixtures.

Popcorn: it's advertisement is this:
This sweet and salty lip scrub is one scrumptious way to polish your pout. Exfoliate your lips with a blend of castor sugar, fine sea salt and corn meal while jojoba oil and extra virgin coconut oil replenish moisture. Use this whenever your lips feel like they need refreshing, or before applying lipstick for smooth application. Just try not to eat it straight from the pot!

This quote is directly from the website.
Most reviews are positive and it has an overall rating of 4.5/5 stars. Most people said even with chronic chapped and dry lips that nothing, not even high end lip masks could cure that this did. There's a ton of races for this particular flavor.
The couple cons were that it was really crumbly, and although I agree I'm not sure there's anything wrong with that. That particular fact makes it more exfoliating than something with smaller exfoliates and more oil or whatever else is used in a more most lip scrub. This honestly works a hell of a lot better than any wet lip scrub I've ever used and it's not hard to use at all. The trick is to get it on your lips underneath your finger and use the fast movement I mentioned above. You do that and you won't have any complaints. The only other complaints were about the flavor not being sweet enough or tasting like caramel (that's a bit of a contradiction if you ask me.) But that just goes to show that everyone tastes things a bit differently and you can't take someone else's opinion on that particular part of it.
$10.95 for 0.8 oz

Next up is Bubblegum and this is how the website describes and advertises it:
Got a sweet tooth? You're gonna love this sugary treat. With a sweet, candy-like flavor that stays true to its name, Bubblegum is one delightful lip scrub. Give your lips a gentle exfoliation with fine castor sugar and moisturizing organic jojoba oil to leave them feeling soft, smooth and supple. Your favorite lip balm, lip tint or lipstick will glide on effortlessly once you've Bubblegum'd.
Again this gets a 4.5/5 rating on their website from a total of 391 reviews and ratings.
Most people raved and raved about this product for all the reasons already mentioned. The only negatives pertained to the smell being strong but again most loved the smell and that's all opinion. One person said it made their lips dry and crusty and that's the first I have ever heard of it making lips worse so I'm thinking it was a rare allergic reaction and that's a risk you take putting any product on your face, even makeup, but it is highly unlikely and super rare especially with all of the lipsticks, etc you probably use that you're much more likely to get a reaction from.
$10.95 0.8 oz

Next up is Mint Julep for Mint Condition Lips. This is the last available in the line right now for lip scrubs but they add more and have limited editions from time to time so check back for those. The website advertises this one as:
This has 4.7/5 stars coming from 496 reviewers and ratings.
Mint Julips gets its name from a classic Southern cocktail full of peppermint and sugar, so we've followed suit with its formula. (No bourbon here though.) Scrub your lips with fine castor sugar to soften them up, and after you lick off the refreshing minty excess, you'll be left with a protective coating of organic jojoba oil to keep your lips hydrate
It was honestly almost impossible to find a bad review. After a few pages in I couldnt find any so im just taking from the cons list. Most of the cons I could see came from people giving ratings of around 4 stars so they obviously still loved it. The only "negative" things said is that it wasn't as effective as they had hoped and again the smell but that was rare to find being said.
The positives were much the same along with a few other pros like how it was filled to the brim and falling out of the pot when it was first opened and how they were so happy because most companies are stingy with their product. Idm if it's like that for every one since human error and difference is a likely factor since these are all made by hand so I can see differences definitely happening.
This one is 10.95 for a 0.9 oz jar. I'm not sure why there's .1 more of an ounce in this flavor but that does make this currently the cheapest out of all the available flavors.
For each flavor between %94-%97would Recommend to a friend and you can add me to that as well.

Stay tuned for more reviews and tutorials coming tonight and more daily!
Stay beautiful because that's just what you are, just the way you are.
