EASY UPDO FOR SHORT OR MEDIUM LENGTH HAIR! GREAT HOT WEATHER UPDO!

EASIEST UPDO FOR MEDIUM TO SHORT LENGTH HAIR

This blog is a great tutorial for a pretty and unique updo that almost anyone can pull off. I have shoulder length hair as you can see in the photo below but you can do this with any thickness or length of hair by just adding or subtracting twists. I have three here but just use however many you can fit or that you want to have. In the first photo below I am wearing a regular ponytail wrapped with hair and in the second phot I use a bun. You could do anything but for this tutorial I will explain my methods for this.

First we are going to measure our hair in three even layers going across

Next step we will take our most top layer and grab a rubber band and make a ponytail. Pull it almost as tight as you would for a regular ponytail.

Now poke your finger through the middle of right above the ponytail and pull it apart so that there's an opening. Now grab the ponytail and push it all through the top of that hole and pull it straight down through the bottom. Pull that ponytail tight.

Now grab your second layer and the hanging hair from the first ponytail and make a second ponytail. Again pull it straight down through the middle and tighten

Next grab the remaining loose hair and the ponytail from above and tie back in a ponytail and pull it down through the middle. You should have three hair twists and a ponytail now.

Now you can grab a small piece of hair from the side of the ponytail and wrap it around the hair band and pin it when you can't wrap it any more or for the bun look on the second photo grab the band on the hair tie and start acting like your going to tie it around one more time but instead of pulling the hair all the way through to make the ponytail you will pull it almost all the way through and leave the ends hanging out. Than twist them around to the top. You can leave as much or as little as you want.
