KAT VON D SERPENTINA PALETTE TUTORIAL!
Supplies needed:
&fluffy blending brush. I used Sephora pro blending brush large 27
&KVD Serpentina Palette.
& cream colored or light colored eyeshadow. I used virgin out of the Naked 3 palette
& liner brush angled or straight cut. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duo angled and straight cut brushes in #14 & #20
& mascara I use Younique brand fiber lashes step one and two
First use your concealer or foundation on your eyelids all the way from your lash to the eyebrow then over to the inner corner and the under eye area. Do your eyebrows then add your eye primer.
Your eyes should be prepped by this point.
Next grab your fluffy brush and grab some of the shade Bloodmilk from your Serpentina Palette. Using a windshield wiper, back and forth motion, only put the color from the very top of your crease to right above it. Don't put it right in your crease as this will make your eyes look smaller. This tutorial is for any eye shape from almond to hooded.
Next blend that into your crease just a bit and blend it out using the same motion until there's no harsh lines.
Next grab the color Queen from Serpentina. Always tap off excess and again use your fluffy blending brush. Start making a small circular motion right on the outer corner slowly blending inwards to the last third of your eye socket and then blend into the crease halfway in towards your inner eye. Make sure there are no harsh lines.
After this grab your cream or light pink color and using your eyeliner brush. Any small brush or eye sponge applicator that you have full control over will do. I use the small end of my NAKED palette brush. Lightly dab the color from the inner eye socket to the line where Queen starts but not over it, just on it.
Then grab your blending brush and blend the crease and the outer corner all into the crease and the line where queen and your lighter shade meet so it's all blended.
Then grab Ankh and tightline your top lash line and bottom water line only where your lashes are and no further. Use your liner brush for this.
Then grab your liner brush, preferably angled for more precise control and grab some of the shade Medusa (what I used) or Prophet for a brighter gold look and line right under your bottom lash line. Make the line small and tight to the lashes so you don't cause a droopy eye look. Line this all the way from the outer lashes to the inner corner of your eyes.
Then with your liner brush grab Ankh and make a winged liner look starting with your wing than slowly working inwards in short controlled strokes. Go over it one more time to darken the color.
Then add medusa or prophet to the very bottom of your wing.
After this add your highlighter shade to under your brows tightly against the bottom line or all over under the brow to the crease to blend any imperfections. You can use your cream color for this as well. Then highlight your inner eye corner. I used Cover Fx Contour Kits highlighting color.
Then add your mascara or falsies.
After this grab some lotion and a tissue and put the lotion on the tissue and wipe lightly under the eye to grab and wipe away any powder that fell. Then finish your face makeup.
I use lock it liquid foundation (KVD) in shade 52 only on my blemishes and eye and under eye area because I'm trying to cure my acne at the moment.
I use Cover Fx Contour kit for contouring and highlighting. I use Urban decay Dark horse Eyeshadow (seen In original NAKED palette) for eyebrows with my Anastasia Beverly Hills duo brow brush in #14. I used baby lips lip gloss in some sort of sparkly pink (not pictured.)
Heres my hair: teased at crown and pinned and pushed up for volume. Then twisting two side pieces and pinning them on the opposite side and brushing the remaining hair for a half down look with sideswept bangs smoothed and tucked behind ears.
